Existence/1 Enoch 37–71; 4 Ezra 13
A person existence was aimed at
The Son of Man, named before time
The Parables name a Chosen One, a Son of Man hidden with the Lord of Spirits before the stars were made. Kings fail to worship him. Enoch, at the end, is greeted as that figure — a riddle.
If the Watchers taught that existence is a Name, the Parables teach that existence is also a Person. The Son of Man is named before the creation of the lights Kokabiel catalogued. Astrology is late, in this theology. The human-shaped glory is early.
4 Ezra’s man from the sea, 2 Baruch’s cedar, the Gospels’ Son of Man, and this book’s Chosen One are not the same figure. They are the same argument: history is not only a lawsuit against Watchers. It is a revealing of someone the Watchers did not teach.
Chapters 70–71, where Enoch seems to become what he saw, are either the boldest statement in the corpus or a later seam. This codex leaves the seam visible. Esoteric knowledge of existence, at its limit, is not a technique. It is a recognition.
