How the world is said to be
The Watchers leaked the running of the house: weather, metal, calendars, the grammar of a Name. Enoch is shown the same house as a guest. These essays follow that difference — existence as oath, mountain, giant, storehouse, year, palace, person, pit, flood, and tree.

Existence as a legal fact
Chapter 69 claims that heaven, earth, sea, depths, and the storehouses stand because they were sworn. The Watchers’ crime is not only desire. It is leaking the grammar of that oath.

They descend on Hermon in the days of Jared and name it from ḥerem — curse, ban, devoted thing. The mountain is a courtroom, a dormitory, and a brand.

The children are neither men nor Watchers. When their bodies are destroyed, the spirits remain. That remainder is the Enochic origin of demons.

Enoch is shown the cabinets: winds, hail, dew, lightning, the prison of stars, the tree of wisdom, the garden, the mountain of God, the places of the dead. This is the world as a house with locked rooms.

Time as obedience
Uriel shows a sun that moves through six gates, a moon that cannot quite keep up, four intercalary days, and a year of 364. Sinners will make the luminaries err. Calendar is a moral fact.

How many floors does existence have?
1 Enoch’s earth is wide. 2 Enoch’s heaven is stacked. 3 Enoch’s heaven is palatial. The Watchers, in the Slavonic book, sit miserable in the fifth.

A person existence was aimed at
The Parables name a Chosen One, a Son of Man hidden with the Lord of Spirits before the stars were made. Kings fail to worship him. Enoch, at the end, is greeted as that figure — a riddle.

Where a Watcher goes when the lesson is over
Azazel is thrown into Dudael under jagged rocks. Shemihazah is bound under the hills for seventy generations. Stars that left their stations burn in a waste. The scapegoat still walks in the direction of that idea.

Why the arts had to be drowned
Uriel is sent to Noah. The giants’ tablet is washed. The earth is healed so that it may become a planting of righteousness. Some knowledge is meant to miss the boat.

Wisdom that is eaten, and wisdom that is stolen
Enoch smells a tree of wisdom whose fruit is for the elect after the judgment. It is not framed as the tree of the first trespass. Knowledge, in this book, comes in at least two species.
