Astrology
The verdict of the sky, privatized
Baraqiel receives astrology as distinct from Kokabiel’s constellations. A map is one thing; a sentence drawn from the map is another. Lightning is the emblem: a stolen flash of heaven’s court.
What was given away
- Casting a life against a configuration of lights
- Natal and interrogational judgments
- Timing a deed to a flash or a rising
- The soul as a spark of a star (flattery as metaphysics)
Why the book calls it forbidden
It privatizes judgment. The Ancient of Days is replaced by a chart. A person becomes a client of a light.
What became of it
Every later horoscope is, in this theology, a memory of a Watcher’s courtroom. Enoch’s own astronomy is offered as the lawful alternative: gates and numbers, not fates.
