Teachings/1 Enoch 8:3; 17–36

Signs of the earth

Soil, stone, mountain, sea, and shrine

Arakiel reads the ground. Tamiel reads the deep. Batariel builds high places. Turiel enthrones on them. The earth becomes a tablet, a well, a campus, and a rival Sinai.

What was given away

  • Omens in soil, quake, and stone
  • The deep underfoot and the paths of the sea
  • How to site, aim, and franchise a high place
  • Claiming a peak as a seat of glory

Why the book calls it forbidden

Because the earth is already spoken for, and because Enoch’s own tour of its corners is a prophetic privilege, not a syllabus. High places will take centuries to uproot.

What became of it

Standing stones, bamot, sea-cults, and the later memory of Bashan as giant-country are this curriculum’s architecture.
